Community of Science Funding Opportunities Database

Creighton University currently subscribes to the Community of Science Funding Opportunities database. This is a comprehensive database that includes funding opportunities for all disciplines, not just the sciences, and it can be accessed from any computer on campus.

FundSource

FundSource is a tool designed to help behavioral and social scientists find research funding.  When searching, use the database search.  This search generates a tailored list of organizations in the FundSource database determined by name, discipline and/or topic.

The Foundation Center

The Grants Administration Office has recently acquired the Foundation Center's Database.  This was funded by the School of Medicine.  The database contains records for all known active foundations in the United States.  Most of the larger foundations list previous grant award recipients by title and award.  To request a funding search, please contact Brandi Tumbleson at 280-2311, or Beth Herr at 280-5769 in the Office of Grants Administration.

Grants.gov

Grants.gov is the source to find and apply for federal government grants.

GrantsNet 2.0

GrantsNet 2.0 features comprehensive coverage of new science opportunities from private and public-sector organizations, including RSS feeds for research funding, as well as student and institutional support.

proposalCENTRAL

ProposalCENTRAL is an e-grant-making website shared by many government, non-profit, and private grant-making organizations.

Another good place to look for discipline-specific funding opportunities is in professional publications and on the Web sites of professional organizations. If you do not know the Web site address of the organization you are looking for, try searching for the address using an online search engine, such as Google™.
