Zach is New Pediatrics Chair

Terence L. Zach, M.D., professor of pediatrics, is Creighton’s new chair of pediatrics, effective July 1. Zach joined Creighton in 1989 as an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Newborn Medicine at Creighton University. Most recently, he served as departmental vice chair and chief of the Joint Division of Newborn Medicine at Creighton University/University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). He earned the Creighton Medical Student Outstanding Teaching Faculty Award in 1995, 2000 and 2005.

Zach holds a B.A. in psychology from Creighton University (1979), and a medical degree from UNMC. He completed his pediatric residency at UNMC, and fellowships in pediatric infectious disease and neonatology at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. He is board certified in pediatrics and neonatology.
