How do I order graduation announcements?
Official Creighton University graduation announcements are available by Willsie Company through the Campus Bookstore, (402) 280-2796. Graduation announcements feature an etching of St. John's Church and the Administration Building. The raised text is personalized with your name, major and college. Custom accessories are also available, as well as package plans. Orders for May 2008 Commencement are being accepted through the CU Bookstore.

How do I order my cap and gown?
Prospective graduates order their caps, rental gowns and hoods (for master’s or doctor’s degrees) when they turn in their applications for degree to the Registrar’s Office. Also check out "A Student's Guide to Graduating."

Cap and Gown Pickup will be Thursday, May 8 & Friday, May 9, 2008 in the Skutt Student Center Rooms 104 & 105 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Is there assistance for a graduate with special needs?
Yes. Are you or do you know of a graduate who has special needs and will participate in the commencement ceremony? Please contact the Marketing and Public Relations Office with this information, (402) 280-2455.

Are there rules about the commencement ceremony?
Graduates and guests are expected to refrain from any behavior that distracts from the dignity or safety of the ceremony. Any person with alcohol or fireworks will be removed from the premises and charges will be filed.

Do we need tickets?
No. Tickets are not required. Graduates may invite as many guests to the commencement ceremony as they wish. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Saving seats for more than a few people is discouraged.

Doors will open at 8 a.m. for the 9:30 a.m. ceremony and at noon for the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.

Where should I park?
Parking is available in on the North and West sides of the Qwest Center in Lots B, C, D & E. Parking in these lots is $6. A parking garage is available on the South side of the arena for $10. Handicapped parking is available in lots B, C, and D at no charge.  

Creighton University will be running shuttles from campus parking lots (lots along Burt and Cuming Streets) to the Qwest Center all day on Saturday, May 10, 2008. Shuttles will begin at 7:45 a.m. The last shuttle from the Qwest will be at 3:30 p.m. The complimentary shuttles will run every 15 minutes.

Where can I drop off guests?

Guests may be dropped off at the curb cuts on the 10th street side of the Qwest Center.

Where am I supposed to be on commencement day?

Is there a rehearsal? No. There are no rehearsals for the commencement ceremonies. Listen carefully to the associate marshal's instructions on commencement day.

Students graduating at the 9:30 a.m. ceremony robe and line up for the procession at 8:30 a.m. in Hall A at the Qwest Center. The procession order will be: Arts and Sciences, Business Administration,  BSEMS, Law, and the Graduate School.

Students graduating at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony robe and line up for procession at 12:30 p.m. in Hall A at the Qwest Center. The procession order will be: Pharmacy and Health Professions, BSDH, Dentistry, Nursing and Medicine.

Will I be able purchase diploma frames and flowers at commencement?  

Yes, the Creighton Bookstore and Hy-Vee Floral will be outside the ticket office in the West lobby of the Qwest Center Arena. Flowers, diploma frames, batteries, film, and other Creighton memoribilla will be available for purchase.

How can I order the photos taken of me at commencement?

Jolesch photography will be e-mailing graduates their photo proofs 10 days after the ceremony. If you do not receive your proofs please visit Jolesch Photography.

Will DVD's of the ceremonies be available for purchase?

The following ceremonies are available for purchase at $20 per DVD per ceremony.

To order copies please fill out the DVD order form and mail it to the address on the form. DVD's will be mailed 2 weeks after the ceremony.
