International Students
Creighton University welcomes international students from all areas of the world.Required DocumentsInternational applicants for undergraduate programs must present the following documents:
- Undergraduate Application for International Students.
- $40 nonrefundable application fee.
- Counselor evaluation.
- Applicants for whom English is not a native language must request the Educational Testing Service send Creighton (Code 6121) the most recent original TOEFL score. A minimum TOEFL score of 80 iBT (213 CBT/550 PBT) is required. Admissible students who do not meet the minimum TOEFL score may receive conditional admission and enroll in Creighton's Intensive English Language Institute until they attain the necessary English proficiency.*
- Official high school transcripts. The high school attended must send the transcripts directly to Creighton.
- Certified translation of all high school transcripts.
- Official university transcripts. The university attended must send the transcripts directly to Creighton.
- Certified translation of all university transcripts
- Completed Certification of Available Finances and bank statement or letter describing the account activity within three months of the date we receive the application.
- ACT or SAT scores: Recommended for all applicants but required of freshman applicants who do not need to present a TOEFL score.
- Certificates, diplomas, or examination results marking completion of secondary education or preparation for higher education (e.g., "O" level or IB exam results).
* Higher TOEFL scores are required for students in the Accelerated 1-year BSN program and Graduate programs: 600 (PBT)/250 (CBT)/100(iBT); Please see below for more information.
Enrollment Reservation Deposit
Students accepted for admission are requested to confirm their acceptance and enrollment at Creighton with a $250 enrollment reservation deposit by May 1 for the Fall Semester and November 1 for the Spring Semester.

Course Evaluation
Any course work taken at an accredited institution outside of the United States must be evaluated by World Education Services (WES). Creighton's admissions committee must receive an official evaluation from WES directly. Photo copies will not be accepted.

For Accelerated and Graduate International Students
Written and oral communication is extremely important to academic success and clinical proficiency. The School of Nursing reserves the right to require evidence of written and oral proficiency. International students whose first language is not English or who have obtained a degree from outside of the United States must present a TOEFL score of 600 on the paper-based test (PBT) or a score of a 250 on the computer-based test (CBT) or 100 on the Internet-Based Test (iBT).
