The Psychiatry Resident’s Organization (PRO) is an important part of our psychiatry residency program. Our mission is to foster leadership, teamwork, and communication among psychiatry residents. We meet every week for lunch and our business meeting. Our officers include President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Throughout the year, PRO celebrates birthdays, weddings, and new babies. PRO also sends expressions of condolences. At the end of the academic year, we have a two day resident retreat and a Senior Awards Banquet, where we award the Golden Apple (teaching award), Golden Heart (compassion and empathy), and Golden Couch (outstanding therapist) to a faculty member and recognize our graduating seniors.
