The psychiatry departments of Creighton University and the University of Nebraska Medical Center jointly operate the unique Creighton-Nebraska Psychiatry Residency Training Program. The residency includes a superb program in general psychiatry as well as fellowships in Child-Adolescent Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, and Geriatric Psychiatry.

The program also provides a range of regular Continuing Medical Education activities, as well as sponsor special lectures, workshops, and conferences. The Faculties also sponsor the Center for Psychotherapy & Psychoanalysis, to promote interdisciplinary and inter-institutional programs in psychoanalysis and related psychotherapies.

Between the two departments, more than 60 faculty members for clinical and didactic teaching. The VA Hospital, Alegent Health, the Creighton University Medical Center, the Nebraska Medical Center, and affiliated clinics provide a wide variety of patients and venues for a well-rounded education.
