Music Ministry Ensembles

Song of Praise Choir, Qwest Center Omaha, Dec 2005.

Whether you're a long-time choral singer, a veteran of small groups or brand new to music ministry; whether you're looking for a very regular commitment or just a few service opportunities each year, we have a place for you!

Not sure if you "qualify?" Well, being an astounding, virtuosic musician is a blessing, but what really defines an excellent music minister is spirit-- the understanding of music ministry as the sharing of one's gifts (whether extraordinary or just "OK") as a leader of song for the people who gather to worship. If you have that spirit, you're good to go (and if you're not sure about your musical skills, what better way to hone them than by using them!)

Crash a rehearsal! We don't audition for our music ministry ensembles*... but you may certainly audition us! Please feel welcome to drop in on a rehearsal (no obligation necessary) for any of these groups to get a feel for the group dynamic and the way we shape our ministry. We're always willing to chat afterwards about your questions and concerns.

*Candlelight Choir, a student-directed ensemble for the Candlelight Mass, is an auditioned ensemble (see below).
