Faith Development Opportunities
Faith and Pasta
Held periodically throughout the semester, Faith and Pasta is a time for members of the Creighton community to come together for a complimentary spaghetti dinner to discuss and share ideas on various topics in religion and spirituality. Not a debate forum, nor a formal class, these events give people the opportunity to listen to the wide range of views of current issues. Topics in the past have included Faith and Violence, Faith and Women, and Understandings of Sacred Texts. Keep an eye on the "Coming Up" section of our webpage for the next topic and date!
Devotion and Prayer
Besides opportunities for daily mass, weekend liturgies, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, celebrate your faith with others in these ways:
Vespers are held on Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. at St. John’s. Be inspired by the evening prayer of the Church with members of St. John’s and the Creighton community. Praise God in the evening!
Also, please join us for Eucharistic Adoration (Monday nights at 9 p.m., St. John’s) or consider praying the Rosary with the Rosary Club (Tuesday nights at 9:30 p.m., St. John’s. Come, let us pray together for the needs of God's people!
Special Events
When tragedy, triumph, and special needs arise, Campus Ministry has offered special events to lend a hand. In recent years, we have organized benefits and awareness events for tsunami victims, hurricane refugees, and drought in Africa.
Spiritual Conversations
Do you desire to talk with a spiritual mentor one-on-one about your life of faith? Just contact Dr. Weber in Campus Ministry at weberl@creighton.edu. We will introduce you to the possibility of spiritual direction, or spiritual conversation with a trained spiritual adviser from your faith tradition. We are here for you, so please come in for a visit to our Campus Ministry offices!
