Creighton University

I grew up in Shenandoah, a farm community located in the southwest corner of the good ole state of Iowa. Having five brothers and five sisters I always had someone to hang out with and enjoyed many fall weekends playing football on the side yard with one another!

I eventually earned a teaching degree and taught six graders for thirteen years before attending CU to work for a certificate in ministry. I then taught for three more years while helping with school liturgies for the St. Albert’s School System before working for a parish in Council Bluffs as a pastoral minister with responsibilities in the area of liturgy.

In July of 2000 I began my ministry as coordinator of liturgy for the students and parishioners of St. John’s and Creighton University. Since that time I have grown to understand more fully the mission of Jesuit education and the gifts I have to offer toward this mission as a Campus Minister.

After 6 years as Coordinator of Liturgy at St. John’s at Creighton I turned to faith formation as a new focus of my ministry.Being present to students and their spiritual needs is the main focus of my work. It is with gratitude that I embrace this new ministry and remain open to the surprises it will bring to my life!
