Fellowship Training Program

Academic Development and Technology Center (ADATC)

The Academic Development and Technology Center at Creighton University is an endowed center that has as its overall goal the improvement of instructional quality at Creighton University through the technological enhancement of faculty teaching skills. The Center has a half-time faculty Director and is located in Room L27 of Reinert Library. The primary objective of the Center is to offer on an annual basis eFellowships for full time Creighton faculty members. eFellows working with the Center receive technology training, multimedia computing systems, special computing hardware and peripherals, software tools, MP3 video players, digital cameras, digital video cameras and support services to enable them to develop new computer based instructional systems for use in their classroom, laboratory, or clinical clerkship teaching.

Fellowship Appointments

Ten eFellows are selected on an annual basis by a selection committee that is comprised of the Vice Presidents for Information Technology, Academic Affairs, and Health Sciences, as well as the Director of the Academic Development and Technology Center. The Dean of the applicant's School or College is consulted during the committee's selection process and is actively involved in determining if an applicant can receive a summer or academic year fellowship appointment from the Center. Normally, applications from faculty members will be solicited once per calendar year.

Fellowship Duration

Summer Fellowship

The summer fellowship starts in the middle of May and goes through mid-August. Summer fellowships are normally full time appointments with accommodations for any scheduled vacation leave.

Academic Year Fellowship

The academic year fellowship usually starts in the third week of August and continues through the first week of May of the following year. Academic year fellowships are normally quarter time appointments with accommodations for the scheduled fall break week, Christmas vacation, and spring break week.
