Creighton's Commitment
A strong desire to make a difference in patients' lives drives the research efforts at Creighton University's School of Medicine. Researchers are making discoveries that can positively affect patients lives in the areas of bacterial resistance, cancer, hearing loss and the conditions that affect bone health and loss.
Part of the mission at Creighton University's School of Medicine is to develop new therapies to contribute to the health and well-being of patients. Research is essential to learning about the mechanism of diseases and new ways to prevent and treat disease.
Upcoming events:
The Department of Pharmacology will host Dr. Janee Gelineau-van Waes. She will present "Of maize and men: a tale of tortillas, toxins and teratology. Mechanisms underlying maternal fumonisin exposure and neural tube defects" on Wednesday, August 27 at 11:00 in Criss II, Room 310.
An Osteoporosis Research Center conference will be held in August 29 from 12:00-1:00 in CUMC Conference Room 5766. Dr. Gary Xiao will present "Secreteomic analysis of calcium supplement-mediated bone remodeling"
Michaela Anez, BMS PhD student will present "Vitamin D: Friend or foe of asthma" on Tues September 2 from 3-4 pm in Criss II/Room310.
