CU School of Medicine Class of 2007 Hooding and Graduation
The Creighton University School of Medicine Class of 2007 were hooded on Thursday, May 10, and graduated on Saturday, May 12.
This class of 117 students was selected from 3947 applicants, and came from 25 different states and three foreign countries.
Whereas 29 of these graduates received undergraduate degrees from Creighton University, the remaining students represented an additional 68 undergraduate universities and colleges.
Of these students, 19 were inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and 15 were inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
These Creighton School of Medicine graduates will be pursuing a variety of residency training options including Internal Medicine (18), Obstetrics and Gynecology (17), Radiology (15), Anesthesiology (14), Pediatrics (14), General Surgery (10), Psychiatry (9), and others in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Medicine and Pediatrics, Neurology, Pediatrics/Psychiatry/Child Psychiatry, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Orthopedic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, and transitional programs. The 2007 graduates matched into prestigious programs such as Mayo, Brown, Northwestern, and Dartmouth.
The faculty and staff of the Creighton University School of Medicine are proud of the 2007 Graduates and wish them much success!
