Match Day
Match Day is an exciting time for the Creighton M4’s. At that time each M4 discovers where they will spend the next few years and in what specialty they will find their professional future. Creighton University School of Medicine graduates do well in securing residencies in medical specialties ranging from anesthesiology to urology, including the very competitive fields of:
- Dermatology
- Emergency Medicine
- Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Ophthalmology
- Orthopedic Surgery
- Otolaryngology
- Radiology
- Surgery
One reason Creighton graduates do so well in securing top residency choices is that year after year, 98% and higher of residency program directors tell us that they would be happy to have more Creighton graduates in their programs!
In addition, Creighton M4’s are welcomed at competitive residency sites by the Creighton graduates who are already training at those sites. If an M4 chooses to do an elective month at a specific site, Creighton alumni mentor the student to help position him/her well for a ‘match’.
