Viewing Curriculum Calendars
Overview
The Outlook Only link to the Curriculum Calendars works only with computers that have Microsoft Outlook (2000 & 2003) configured to use CUmail.
Important:
You must have Outlook properly configured to work with CUmail to view the calendars via Outlook.
If you are using such a computer, simply click on the Outlook Only link in your web browser and the calendar will open in Outlook.
Preconfigured Locations on Campus
You can use the Outlook Only links on all computers in the School of Medicine computer labs
- 4th floor of Criss III
- 5600 Suite of CUMC
- Interactive Area in Criss III.
These machines will automatically connect to CUmail whenever Outlook is launched.
Personal Computers
The Outlook Only links to the Curriculum Calendars can be used on a personal computer provided:
- the computer is running Microsoft Outlook 2003.
- Outlook is configured to connect to CUmail.

Quick Access to Calendars
Once you have viewed the Curriculum Calendars in Outlook, you can setup a shortcut to the calendars within Outlook. The shortcut will appear in the Calendar View in Outlook under the sub heading of Other Calendars on the left side of the screen. Once you've configured your Outlook calendar, the shortcut will appear on any computer that is configured to connect to CUmail.
To create this shortcut:
- Open the Curriculum Calendar via the Outlook Only link on the web page.
- In the All Folders section on the left side of the screen, scroll down until you find the Medical Student Schedules folder and see the appropriate Curriculum Calendar e.g. Class of 2009.
- Right click on the appropriate calendar and select Add to Favorites.
- In the Add to Favorites window that appears, type in the name of the folder you wish to use and click Add.
To Check that it works:
- Switch to the Calendar View by pressing the Calendar button on the left side of the screen.
- Click the check box next to the new calendar under Other Calendars.
- The Curriculum Calendar for your class will come up.
