Creighton University (CU) and Creighton University Medical Center (CUMC) are offering an extra incentive to employees in an effort to help them quit tobacco. It normally costs $75 to participate in Creighton's Commit to Quit Program. CUMC will pay the fee for CUMC employees who successfully complete the 7-week, 8-session program, whereas CU will pay for CU employees who are enrolled in the CU healthcare benefit program. Special sessions are scheduled at CU and CUMC locations to make the meetings as convenient as possible for employees. For current meeting times and locations, please click here. Meetings will be added onsite to meet CU and CUMC employee needs.
All employees who attend a Lunch-N-Learn Session, make an appointment, sign-up for a Tobacco Cessation Class beginning in January 2007, or refer someone to Creighton's Tobacco Cessation Program by January 8, 2007, will be entered into a Prize Drawing for a Kansas City Weekend Getaway Package, valued at approximately $750. The winner will be announced in Creighton Today and the CUMC Connection on Tuesday, January 9, 2007.
