Key Medical Center Programs
Bloodless Medicine and Surgery - We are proud to offer the only program dedicated to reducing the need for blood transfusions in the region. At Creighton's Center for Blood Conservation, an impressive staff of physicians and providers are assembled to deliver a variety of bloodless alternatives to traditional methods of treatment that respect each person's religious beliefs and choice as an individual.
Cancer Center - From the groundbreaking research in genetic/hereditary cancer of Dr. Henry Lynch to a patient-focused approach in medical, surgical and radiation oncology, the Creighton Cancer Center is home to an experienced group of cancer specialists. This coordinated approach incorporates some of the latest advancements in diagnosis and treatment to enhance patient care.
Cardiac Services - In partnership with the Creighton Cardiac Center, we integrate medicine, technology and research to provide care in the fight against heart disease, from diagnostics to intervention to surgery.
Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery - With a world-renowned team of surgeons leading the way, Creighton University Medical Center has made significant advancements in the field of minimally invasive surgery by utilizing state-of-the-art equipment such as the da Vinci(TM) surgical robot.
Perinatal and Neonatal Services - With a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit staffed by neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners and residents, Creighton University Medical Center provides around-the-clock care for the special needs of high-risk babies.
Trauma - As the region's busiest trauma center, our trauma team stands ready 24/7 to deal with the most complex medical conditions presented in this type of emergency medicine. In 2004, Creighton University Medical Center handled more than 1,000 trauma cases.
