Congratulations to Shoshana Berger for winning the logo design for the Mike & Josie Harper Center for Student Life & Learning. Student Services received 1,393 votes for the graphic design contest.

In Shoshana's words:

The shape describes sharing and collaboration- the spreading lines symbolize spread pages of a book in one direction, gathering together in the other direction, a symbol of collaboration for the sharing of knowledge and resources.

Together with the color and curvature, it shows, as per the vision statement, the combining of the academic process to that of non-academic services of student life.

Creighton University fosters an environment which promotes respect and service to all peoples , values diversity, and upholds the ideals of Jesuit education. To this means, the Harper Center for Student Life and Learning links the educational process with social encounter and wellness of body.

The Harper Center for Student Life and Learning provides vital services, conveniences, and amenities which are used in daily campus life to support the mission of the University. It acts as the conference center for the campus and greater Omaha community. In doing so, it seeks to effectively manages its facilities and services while being responsive to the changing needs of the campus population.

The Harper Center for Student Life and Learning is devoted to meeting the needs of Creighton University students, faculty and staff by:

• Increase meeting space on campus 
• Bring Creighton events back to campus while fostering new events from the community
• Permit collaboration between many departments on campus to provide centralized services to students
• Combine the academic process to that of non academic services of student life
• Allow the Skutt Student Center to focus more on student use of the facility
