Grants

Federal Pell Grant

  • Federally funded program
  • Awarded to undergraduate students without a bachelor's or professional degree
  • Eligibility determined by a student's Expected Family Contribution (EFC), which is calculated from the FAFSA, and enrollment status

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

  • Federally funded program
  • Awarded to exceptionally needy undergraduate students
  • Reserved for students who are eligible for Federal Pell Grant funds

Federal Academic Competitiveness Grants (ACG)

  • Federally funded program
  • Awarded to freshmen and sophomores who are Pell Grant recipients
  • Eligible students must have completed a rigorous high school curriculum plus other criteria

Federal SMART Grants

  • Federally funded program
  • Awarded to juniors and seniors who are Pell Grant recipients
  • Eligible students must be enrolled full-time with at least a 3.0 QPA in an eligible major

 

Nebraska State Grant program

  • Funded by the federal government and the state of Nebraska
  • Awarded to Nebraska residents eligible for Federal Pell Grant funds

Creighton University Grant (CUG)

  • Institutionally funded program
  • Awarded to students with demonstrated financial need
