Keeping your computer's Operating System up-to-date is one of the most important steps you can take to ensure fewer crashes, fewer viruses, and fewer problems. Take the time to update your computer with the latest operating system patches and updates.

Microsoft Windows

Keep your Windows machine up to date by visiting Microsoft's Windows Update web site regularly. You should also explore any Microsoft Office Updates they release.

Apple Macintosh OS

The current verison of Mac OS X will check for updates periodically. If that has not happened recently, click on the Apple menu (top-left) and choose "Software Update..." from the menu.

Symantec Antivirus

Creighton contracts with Symantec to provide antivirus software for the Creighton community. You can download it from the antivirus page. The software will regularly update itself with new virus definitions. If there is a problem, it will notify you that the definitions are out of date.
