Technology Training For Faculty
DoIT offers specialized training opportunites for Creighton faculty committed to using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Applications and Services
Faculty are eligible for the same basic training classes as all Creighton employees, covering many applications and services available for use at Creighton.
- Online Tutorials
These are step-by-step tutorials on some of the applications and services used often by faculty. Use these to answer your questions, to become familiar with new or unexplored features, or to refresh your skills.
- Workshops
These are hour long workshops in a wide range of technologies. Workshops give you the time to work with technology guided by a member of the Academic & eLearning Technologies team. You can become more familiar and more confident with technology. In addition, workshops often take time to explore the pedagogical value of the technology.
- Consulting
The staff of Creighton's Academic & eLearning Technology group are available for one-on-one consulting appointments to teach faculty the finer points of the technology they are trying to use.
- eFellows Technology Mentoring Program
A year-long, intensive program (also available in a super-condensed Summer session) in technology education, available for faculty by application only. The time commitment is second only to the value gained by the end. Also available as a Senior eFellows addendum for the extra-enthused.
