Online Surveys Policy
Use of online surveys is governed by a policy statement to which users must agree before receiving an account. This service is also governed by the Creighton University Acceptable Use Policy.
Accounts
Students, whether for a course or an official/unofficial club/organization may have an account, with limited number of surveys and storage, provided they obtain written sponsorship from a faculty or staff member. This account will be for either a semester or an academic year (fall through spring), as requested by the sponsor.
To request an account, go to surveys.creighton.edu/ss/ and click on the “Register for an account” link. Students, be sure your sponsor submits the form on your behalf.
All clients will receive a two-week notice before their accounts are set to expire. At the time of expected account expiration, all surveys and data associated with that client will be deleted. Clients will be sent an e-mail with instructions for exporting survey data.
Surveys
Clients shall create and publish their own surveys, and analyze results themselves.
Instructional Design and Development (IDD, DoIT – Academic and eLearning Technologies) does not create or publish surveys for others. DoIT can not analyze data or survey results.
Instructional Design and Development (IDD, DoIT – Academic and eLearning Technologies) will provide several training opportunities throughout the year for those interested in using BlueQ.
Instructional Design and Development (IDD, DoIT – Academic and eLearning Technologies) does offer consultation, by request.
Surveys and data from the galen server (housed in the ADATC) will not be migrated to the web based surveys server. Clients may elect to recreate any galen surveys on the surveys server. Data from both servers may be exported, merged, then analyzed.
Policies
An Advisory workgroup has been created to help formulate policies, to guide and direct IDD (DoIT – Academic and eLearning Technologies) in its support of BlueQ, to offer suggestions or input regarding service, training and rollout of upgrades, and to provide end-user perspective.
