Classrooms, Labs and Learning Spaces

Technology in the classroom is important to modern education, and DoIT is responsible for many of Creighton's technological learning spaces, from televisions rolled into a small seminar room, to installed overheads and computers in large lecture halls.

Installed Equipment

Many classrooms on campus come pre-installed with technology to facilitate teaching and learning. Often this involves a computer (sometimes two) and a ceiling mounted projector. In some classrooms, overhead projectors are included in the mix, and in others there may be video-conferencing cameras for distance learning. Some specialized spaces may have additional technology.

Use our classroom directory to examine what is available in your room.

Equipment available for checkout

In addition to installed technology, there is equipment that can be checked out by faculty for use in classrooms or learning settings. These range from televisions and VCRs to computers, networking, and digital cameras.

Look at our equipment checkout list for further information.

Classroom technology support

Sometimes the technology built into a classroom doesn't do what you expect it will. In those cases, DoIT's classroom technology support team is there to assist. Please use the red telephone in your classroom to call for immediate help, or call 280-1111 extension 1 for assistance.

Computer Labs

Rooms with computers available to the Creighton community abound across campus. Some are managed by DoIT, while others are managed by their respective school, colleges, or departments. They provide computing, network access, and sometimes printing or scanning. Use of these facilities may be limited to students of a particular department, or they may be open to all.
