LANDesk is a new tool that is available to campus now! It allows users to request assistance from remote technicians with a simple phone call. Because this eliminates the need for a technician come out on site, you can receive faster service.

There are four components of LANDesk that provide separate benefits. They are:
- Inventory management
- allows for optimum assessment of computer aging process and subsequent upgrades
- can provide information to us about software which will assist with upgrades and upcoming software rollouts
- Software distribution
- distribution of new applications and/or upgrades of existing applications can be done remotely
- Patch management
- will allow assistance to install new patches and upgrades as they become available
- Remote assistance
- a completely secure method for only LANDesk Support Administrators to connect remotely to your PC upon permission from you
- for every connection that is made, you will have the option to click a button to allow assistance and an on-screen indicator to let you know the connection is running
- LANDesk Support Administrators can see your screen and help you remotely to resolve errors or issues
