Your email Address
Your email address is most commonly your NetID, followed by Creightons domain address. So, for example, if your NetID were bbj12345, then your email address at Creighton would be:
bbj12345@creighton.edu
By default, you can also use your named address. For example, if your name were Billy Bluejay, you could use your NetID, as above (bbj12345@creighton.edu) or you could use your name, billybluejay@creighton.edu. Your named email address will be your official first name followed by your official last name.
I want to change my primary email address
You will have at least two email addresses when you first get an account, your NetID@creighton.edu one, and your named one. To choose which one is your primary email address, you must log in to AMI, then choose "Modify Contact Information" from the buttons at right.
How do I see what addresses I have?
You can check your own list of email addresses and aliases by logging in to AMI, then doing a search for yourself in the Directory. Once you have found yourself, click on the "Alternate Email..." link to see all the aliases on your account.
Can I have a cool address?
Some members of the Creighton community may have different, "odd" addresses (e.g., "jaysrock@creighton.edu" or "miss_cool@creighton.edu". They probably have legacy email aliases from some time ago, when you could choose your alias willy-nilly (that is a technical term). Under current policy, if you wish to change your alias, you must request it online at AMI.
