The Sociology Minor

The minor in Sociology is structured to introduce students to a range of topics, ranging from social problems and social inequalities to social institutions such as family, religion, education, politics, and economics. The diversity and breadth of courses allows students the opportunity to explore areas relevant to individual interests.

SOC 101 Self and Society 3 credits
Six credits from any 300- and 400-level SOC courses
Nine credits from any SOC courses numbered above 200.

NOTE:  SOC 385, SOC 487, SOC 493, SOC 495, and SOC 497 cannot be applied towards this minor.
