The Anthropology Minor
The Anthropology minor introduces students to the study of culture. Students choose one of two introductory courses, one of two theory/methods courses, and four electives to examine topics in anthropology such as the study of religion and/or specific cultures and/or a particular region of the world (i.e. Africa, Asia, Latin America , or Native America).
(One of the following):
ANT 101 Introduction to Native American Studies 3 credits
ANT 111 Introduction to Anthropology 3 credits
(One of the following):
ANT 209 Qualitative Methods in the Social Sciences 3 credits
ANT 301 Social and Cultural Theory 3 credits
Twelve additional credits of ANT courses numbered 200 or above.
ANT 493, ANT 495, and ANT 497 cannot be applied toward this minor.
