Dr. Rodlach joined the department in 2007. His field of expertise in research and teaching is medical anthropology, particularly how cultures influence patterns of health and illness. His geographical area of interest is sub-Saharan Africa. He currently is co-editing an issue of Practicing Anthropology focusing on HIV/AIDS in Africa. Responding to health needs of migrants, he started studying migrants' health issues, particularly of Sudanese in Omaha.
