China Earthquake Relief Effort

Thousands of people need your help in China after the magnitude 7.9 earthquake on May 12. The Asian World Center is working with the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Pharmacy , and the Skutt Student Center in its effort to collect the First Aid Supplies and tents. 17 students and faculty from Creighton University and St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame will bring your donations to China on May 18.

Please drop off any supplies that you think will help the earthquake survivors by Saturday, May 17. Bring your donations to the Skutt Student Center (see below for drop off locations) between 6:30 am to 8:00 pm weekdays and Saturday between 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm. Thank you for your generosity .

A Word from the Director

The Asian World Center is in the College of Arts and Sciences, serving as a bridge between the on-campus scholarly activities and off-campus outreach programs in the areas of Asian studies.  Special attention is given to promoting the understanding of traditions, moral values and ways of thinking in the 48 countries and areas in Asia.
