Invitation to Attend
On behalf of our colleagues at all six institutions* collaborating with us under the auspices of the Carnegie Foundation’s CASTL Leadership Initiative,
We are pleased to invite you to join us at Creighton University for our
2008 National CASTL Institute:
Developing Scholars of Teaching and Learning
June 4-7, 2008
Richard Gale, CASTL Consulting Scholar, has described our institute as “the vanguard campus training program for faculty committed to the scholarly investigation of student learning,” adding that our “work is the future of the scholarship of teaching and learning.”
The 2008 Institute theme, Professional Dispositions and Values, encourages exploration of the attributes, values and habits of mind that allow reflective inquiry. Along with Michele King (Program Manager for both the Institute and the Office for Academic Excellence and Assessment) and the AEA Faculty Fellows, I look forward to welcoming you to Omaha in June, where we are confident you will (re)discover ‘your’ professional dispositions as well as cultivate meaningful connections with other scholars of teaching and learning.
