Our Mission
The Creighton Career Center is committed to assisting all Creighton University students and alumni in clarifying, developing, and implementing career goals that reflect their unique role in the world of work and their commitment to a life of service to others.
We accomplish this Mission by:
- Encouraging a process of self-assessment that provides an awareness of and an appreciation for a value-centered worklife.
- This process begins at the very outset of each individual’s college experience through our unique Career & Academic Planning (CAP) Program. The program is designed to serve the needs of underclassmen by providing a one-stop “systems” approach that combines a self-service Career and Academic Resource Center with highly individualized guidance services. In addition, each student may establish an "academic plan" with a member of the CAP Program which provides information on academic options and requirements, available resources, and “year by year” planning suggestions.
- Services include: Individual and Group counseling, Career Assessments, Career Exploration Materials, and the Major/Minor Exploration Fair
- Empowering students and alumni by providing a thorough understanding of the career planning process.
- Services include: Individual and group sessions on Resume/Cover Letter Writing, Interviewing Techniques, Job Search Strategies, Building Networks, and Researching Graduate/Professional Schools
- Providing an awareness of and exposure to the dynamic, ever-changing nature of the world of work.
- Services include: Career Fairs, Career-Related Part-Time Jobs, Internships/Externships, Volunteer Opportunities, Mentoring Programs, Alumni Career Networks, and Career Resource Materials
