Emily Smith, Associate Grant Administrator

Hometown:  These days, Papillion. My hometown in the sense of where I was raised would be Baguio City, the Philippines

Favorite aspect of Cardoner: I have at least two-the opportunity the program gives people to grow in their faith and the fellowship it engenders across campus.

What you like to do for fun:  I love to read, hang out with my family, go walking with my husband, Andy.

Reason you work at Cardoner:  I love the mission of the program.  Cardoner has helped me become more purposeful and grow in my faith, and it's an honor to be able to share in that.

Personal definition of vocation:  Vocation is more than just doing what you are good at.  It is understanding what feeds your soul, and pursuing it.  God gives us talents and desires and finding your vocation means combining the two.

Favorite quote:  "Brick walls are there for a reason. They let us prove how badly we want things." -Randy Pausch
