Rick Witt

Richard A. Witt

 

Rick Witt is executive vice president and chief investment officer of Mutual of Omaha. He is responsible for oversight and management of all insurance company investment portfolios. Witt also serves on the Mutual of Omaha Foundation board.

 

Witt joined Mutual in 1974 as a securities analyst. He was named assistant vice president in 1978; second vice president in 1983; vice president in 1986; and senior vice president in 1988. He was named executive vice president and chief investment officer in March 2000.

 

He is a member of the board of directors of MOIS; several insurance affiliates of Mutual of Omaha; and innowave incorporated, a water purification company.

 

Witt is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a member of the CFA Institute, and is a past president of the Omaha-Lincoln Society of Financial Analysts. He also serves as treasurer and director of Heartland Family Service, and is actively involved with a variety of educational and other non-profit organizations within the Omaha area.

 

He is a summa cum laude graduate of Creighton University, and is a past recipient of the Spirit of Creighton Award.
