William L. McQuillan

 

William L. McQuillan was born in Grand Island, Nebraska, graduated from Greeley Sacred Heat High School and from Creighton University in Omaha with a BSBA (Major in Accounting). During the last thirty-five years, Mr. McQuillan has served as a Senior Officer with banking institutions of various sizes in the states of Nebraska and Colorado. Since 1983 he has been with City National Bank in Greeley, Nebraska where he is a member of the Board of Directors and holds the position of President/CEO and Vice Chairman.

 

Mr. McQuillan is a past member of the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) Executive Committee in Washington, D.C. The ICBA serves some 5,500 community banks nationwide. He also served on the Policy Development and Long Term Planning Committee, the ICBA Agricultural/Rural America Committee, as well as the ICBA Payments and Technology Committee. His past ICBA leadership positions include service as Past Chairman, Chairman, Director of the ICBA, Chairman of the ICBA Federal Legislature Committee and Chairman of the ICBA Agricultural/Rural America Committee. He also served on the Board of Directors of the ICBA Securities Corporation, ICBA Bancard, and the Community Banking Network. He is also past Chairman of ICBA Bancard, headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. He also serves on the TCM Bank Board of Directors and ICBA Federal Legislative Committee.

 

Mr. McQuillan served on the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City from 1993-1998. He is also past president of the Nebraska Independent Bankers Association (NIBA) and currently serves as a director of that organization. He was honored by the NIBA with the 1993 Annual President's Award. (McQuillan also serves on the Creighton University Advisory Council since 1998.) In addition, McQuillan was also honored with the Creighton University College of Business's Alumni Merit Award in 2000.

 

Mr. McQuillan is active in various business, development, civic and church organizations. He is currently President of the Greeley Chamber of Commerce, Vice President of the Community Development Corporation, and is a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He also served in the US Army Reserve from 1970-1976. He has been designated an Outstanding Member of the Jaycees, and coached Little League basketball.

 

Mr. McQuillan is married to Patricia A. (Caffrey) McQuillan. Their children are W. Patrick, Brian J., Christopher J., and Kimberly R. McQuillan.
