Patrick Corrigan
Patrick J. Corrigan is executive vice president of the Great Plains Division for Bank of the West. The Great Plains Division is based in Omaha, Nebraska, and includes more than 130 banking offices in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri. Corrigan oversees sales and service for all regional retail and business banking activities. Founded in 1874 and headquartered in San Francisco, Bank of the West is the third largest commercial bank headquartered west of the Mississippi. With $54 billion in assets and more than 680 locations, Bank of the West is a full-service commercial bank serving the personal and business banking needs of customers in 19 states.
Before his current appointment, Corrigan was executive vice president and director of Commercial Banking for Commercial Federal Bank, which was acquired by Bank of the West in December 2005. Corrigan was responsible for operations in a seven-state territory, as well as the Cash Management and Dealer Services Divisions.
Corrigan was president of U.S. Bank in Omaha and of commercial banking for U.S. Bank in Nebraska previous to joining Commercial Federal. Other positions he held at U.S. Bank included: West Omaha commercial banking manager; regional manager of business banking for Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana; president of U.S. Bank in Fargo, North Dakota; and business district manager for the state of North Dakota.
Corrigan has been active in a number of community and professional service activities during his career. He presently serves on the board of directors for the Omaha Chamber of Commerce, the Nebraska Bankers Association, and the College of Saint Mary.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, is a graduate of the National Commercial Lending School in Norman, Oklahoma, and is an alumnus of the Omaha Executive Institute. He and his wife, Mary, have seven children.
