Level Three Details
- Orientation meetings
There will be orientation meetings at the beginning of the fall and the spring semesters.
- Contact with Facilitators
It is important that we know your service interests. You will have an individual meeting with a Level 3 Facilitator at the beginning of the fall semester.
- Fall Breakfast Speaker
You have the opportunity to hear from a regional business leader about how to use your business leadership skills in service to others. This breakfast will take place in October.
- Service Leadership Experience
This is one of the most important activities of Level 3. You are asked to fulfill the Level 3 Leadership objectives by taking a leadership role in a service project during the fall or spring semester. This requires initiative, dedication, and responsibility. You will complete a form during the fall orientation session to begin the process of finding a service leadership role.
- Participation in the Dean's Honor Roll for Social Responsibility
You are challenged to earn designation on the Dean's Honor Roll for Social Responsibility (DHRSR) by completing 24 hours of confirmed community service and participating in a synthesis session (reflection session). You must earn designation on the DHRSR in the fall semester or the spring semester. Of course, it would be best to earn designation BOTH semesters!
- Spring Leadership Workshop
During February of the spring semester, you must attend a Saturday morning, two hour leadership workshop. You will hear from a community leader about the power of service, have a chance to share information about your level 3 leadership activities, and take the time to reflect on how service enhances your ability to be a leader.
