2007 Reunion Weekend Highlights
School of Medicine alumni returned home to the Creighton campus the weekend of Sept. 14 - 15 for Destination Creighton: Reunion Weekend 2007 activities. Included in the weekend activities were reunion celebrations for the Classes of 1952, 1957, 1962, 1967, 1972, 1977, 1982, 1987 and 1997.
The Reunion Weekend 2007 kicked off Friday, Sept. 14, with the Third Annual Magis Golf Classic at Ironwood Country Club. The Magis Golf Classic raised $43,000 to support the student-run Magis clinic which serves the homeless of the Sienna Francis House.
Later that evening, the School of Medicine Alumni Reception and Dinner hosted over 350 guests at the Hilton Omaha. The Rev. John P. Schlegel, S.J., Creighton University president, and Cam E. Enarson, M.D., M.B.A., vice president for health sciences and dean of the School of Medicine, welcomed alumni and friends back to Omaha.
Mary K. Kratoska, MD’77, received the 2007 Alumni Merit Award at the dinner and members of the Class of 1957 were honored as this year’s Golden Jays. This year’s Reunion Giving Classes (1997, 1987 and 1982) gave a total of $104,525 in unrestricted gifts to the School of Medicine.
Tours of the school, campus and downtown Omaha were offered on Saturday morning. Later that evening, individual class reunion gatherings were held at various locations throughout Omaha.
A big thank you to the 59 Class Reunion Committee Members for their time and efforts in organizing this year’s reunion!
2006 Reunion Weekend Highlights
School of Medicine alumni returned to the Creighton campus the weekend of September 15 and 16 for Reunion Weekend 2006 activities. Included in the weekend activities were reunion celebrations for the Classes of 1946, 1956, 1961, 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986 and 1996.
The Reunion Weekend 2006 kicked off Friday, Sept. 15 with the 2nd Annual Magis Classic golf outing at Indian Creek Golf Course. The Magis Classic raised $28,000 to support the student-run Magis clinic which serves the homeless of the Sienna Francis House.
Later that evening, the Alumni Reception and Dinner was held at the Hilton Omaha Hotel. The Rev. John P. Schlegel, S.J., Creighton University President, and Cam E. Enarson, M.D., M.B.A., vice president for Health Sciences and dean of the School of Medicine, welcomed reunion attendees back for a spirited event. George J. Bosl, MD’73, received the 2006 Alumni Merit Award at the dinner and members of the Class of 1956 were honored as this year’s Golden Jays.
