Health Administration and Policy (24 credits)

A Certificate in Health Administration and Policy will be awarded to the students who successfully complete a total of 24 semester hours from the following courses:

Required Courses (12 hours):

HAP200: Introduction to Health Administration (3)
HAP215: Sociology of Health Care (3)
HAP390: Health Communication (3)
HAP334: Public Policy of Health Care (3)

Management Focus (3 hours):

One of the following:
MGT301: Managerial Process and Organizational Behavior (3)
COM314: Managerial Communication (3)
PLS331: Managing Public and Non-Profit Sectors (3) 

Finance or Law Focus (3 or 6 hours):

Take one of the following:
HAP310: Health Finance and Budgeting* (3)
HAP515: Law and Health Systems (3)

HAP Electives (6 hours):

One of the following:
Six hours from other  courses that count toward the HAP major** (6)
Six hours tools sequence*** (6)

*ACC201 recommended as a prerequisite
**At least one of which must be a 400-level
***Consists of ECO3203 Microeconomics and BUS229 or SOC214 Statistics
