JayBuck$
What is JayBuck$
JayBuck$ is a program that allows you to use your Creighton ID card to make "cashless" purchases for goods and services. As a stored value application, JayBuck$ allows you to pre-deposit dollars for spending on/off campus and via the web.
Where it Works
By depositing in your JayBuck$, you will be able to use your Creighton ID card instead of cash for purchases at a variety of campus locations:
- Retail purchases at all food services centers
- Services at all three libraries for copying, book fines, inner-library-loans, etc.
- Laundry, laser printing, and snack vending in all the residence halls
- The Creighton University Bookstore
- Computer Center for laser prints, network cards, and other services/supplies
- Public Safety
- Media Services
- Mail Center Services
- Student Health Services
- Beverage and snack vending in many locations
- Many, many off campus merchants. See http://www2.creighton.edu/adminfinance/cardservices/ for a complete list.
If you choose not to deposit funds, your card would still be useable at:
- Dining halls for meal plan access
- Reinert, Law, and Health Sciences libraries to check out materials
- Kiewit Fitness Center, when eligible
- Admittance to home athletic events
- Door access to authorized buildings and you will still be able to use dozens and dozens of quarters to do your laundry, make copies and purchase goods and services on campus.
Participation is voluntary. Your card is active for JayBuck$. You simply make a deposit to begin using the feature. There are no fees or other charges associated with using your JayBuck$ account. It is not a credit or charge card that allows you to spend beyond your current balance so it's a great budgeting tool. Balances are displayed with each use and statements are available in the Card Services office or through the web. Should your card be lost or stolen report it immediately to Card Services, 280.4700. It will then be de-activated protecting your funds.
View transactions or add value to your JayBuck$ account
You may view transactions on your account through your web browser. By logging into the My Accounts TM web module through http://www2.creighton.edu/adminfinance/cardservices/ you can check your current balance, print statements, and/or add value to your account or conduct other transactions as needed. You can also load your JayBuck$ account at a number of convenient locations across campus. Cash Management Centers, machines that accept US currency much like ATM machines, are located at eight sites on campus: Reinert, Law and Health Sciences Libraries, the lobby of Swanson Hall, the Skutt Student Center, the first floor of the Old Gym, Heider Hall, and the computer lab in Criss Room 216. The Card Services Office also accepts deposits to your JayBuck$ account in the form of cash, checks, or credit card transfers.
