Thank you all for making the visit of Fr. Peter-Hans Kolvenbach, Superior General of the Society of Jesus, so very successful. I want to especially thank Fr. Andy Alexander, S.J., for taking the leadership role in planning and executing this event in such a professional way. I know Fr. General was deeply gratified by his visit with the Creighton community.

As you may know, the Creighton soccer stadium is being named after Fr. Michael G. Morrison, S.J., my immediate predecessor. The Michael G. Morrison Stadium will be dedicated on Friday, Oct. 15, between the women’s and men’s soccer games. This should be around 7 p.m. Please try to attend this special dedication honoring a wonderful person who contributed so much to advance Creighton in so many ways.

At the October meeting of Creighton’s Board of Directors, Dan Burkey and I did a Power Point presentation reviewing the highlights of the 2003-04 academic year. The idea behind the presentation was to inform the Directors of what a truly successful year it was and to use that success to build the future.
