About Varsity Press

Varsity Press, or Creighton University Printing Services, is the in-house print shop and copy center for Creighton University. You will find that we strive to please our customers and do our best to make sure our quality and service exceeds your expectations. We pay attention to detail and ask questions which helps us understand your printing needs. We know the printing industry and use our resources to provide you with a superior product. That may sound expensive, but our pricing is very competitive compared to external print vendors and we operate as a University department - motivated by service not profit. Consider using Varsity Press for all your printing needs!

Prepress

Prepress is the term we give to preparing an order to be copied. It can include anything from typesetting a document to pulling an existing plate. Anything we need to do to your originals before we can make copies is considered pre-press. The most common is layout or paste-ups. Others include: making paper plates, burning metal plates, pulling existing metal plates or artwork from our files, typesetting from Creative Services or Varsity Press, and touching up originals.

Varsity Press offers a variety of pre-press services. Since each order is different, those services performed changes from time to time. Metal plates eventually wear out and need to be replaced. Names or telephone numbers change on letterhead, requiring new plates. In addition, we are constantly updating artwork on file so you get the best quality possible.

Varsity Press also does work for Creighton employees and related organizations.
