The University uses steam and chilled water to heat and cool the main campus.

The University does not produce its own steam and chilled water. It is purchased from a company called Energy Systems located downtown and is delivered via buried pipeline.

Using the "stand-by" button on your copier will lighten your energy load by 70%.

Creighton University received the "2002 Harding Award" presented by Omaha Public Power District for achievements in energy conservation.

There is a Universal Waste Policy.  Universal Waste includes recycling such items as electronics, batteries, and light bulbs.

Laser printers use 300 watts; inkjets use only 10 watts for similar quality.
