Controller's Office
The Controller’s Office is committed to providing accurate financial information in a cost effective, efficient and timely manner to those responsible for managing the financial resources of the University and to external constituencies.
We are responsible for preparing the University’s annual financial reports. The preparation of these reports requires current knowledge of financial accounting standards as well as state and federal regulations. The department works closely with professional accountants and auditors from the various firms that audit the University (Deloitte & Touche, federal auditors, etc.) to provide the information necessary to achieve a successful audit.
We are located in the Linn Building at 20th & Cass, just east of the 20th Street parking garage.

AP Tip: Using Per Diem for Travel
It is up to each department whether to allow per diem or require the employee to submit actual expenses. If an employee is approved to use per diem, they must use either the per diem amount or actual expenses for a trip, mixing the two is not allowed.
i.e. An employee goes on a business trip and submits per diem meals & incidentals. They also pay for a business meal for themselves and two other non-Creighton employees. The employee must deduct their meal and tip costs from the expense before submitting it for reimbursement.
