Self-Study Structure
Our self-study process was guided by the Self-Study Steering Committee. In 2004, the Steering Committee identified those persons on campus who have access to the evidence required by the HLC for re-accreditation. Those persons, their areas, and their relationship to the Accreditation Criteria and Core Components are listed in the Self-Study Resource Panel document. Each Criterion has a person assigned to provide oversight to the process of collecting data and information to be used as evidence. The overall process of collecting evidence was managed by Scott Chadwick, who interviewed all the persons listed in the Self-Study Resource Panel, explaining the self-study process, discussing what evidence exists, and working with DoIT and the Institutional Repository team from the Health Sciences Library to compile and categorize it. Through those discussions, additional persons have been added to the Self-Study Resource Panel, and interviewed accordingly.
Self-Study Steering Committee
The Self-Study Steering Committee was chaired by Chris Wiseman. Pat Callone brought considerable expertise with accreditation gained from her experience on the Board of Directors of the Higher Learning Commission. Scott Chadwick served as the Self-Study Coordinator. In addition to the four persons who comprise the committee, our three ex-officio members are all trained HLC Consultant-Evaluators who serve as members of accreditation site visit teams throughout our region. The purpose of this committee was to guide the self-study process, providing opportunities for all who wish to participate in the self-study process to do so, and produce the self-study report.
