Accreditation
Welcome to the University Accreditation web site, where you will find information related to our last two accreditation reviews: 2006-2007 and 1996-1997. Most recently, the accreditation site visit team spent March 12-14, 2007 reviewing our Self-Study Report and supporting documents, talking with a variety of students, staff, faculty, and friends of Creighton (see Self-Study Structure, Self-Study Timeline), and leaving with a clearer sense of our university and campus.
Their recommendation: reaccreditation for 10 years. The complete report (Final Report) notes many strengths but particularly commends Creighton on its mission and Jesuit-centered values which permeate all levels of the Creighton community.
Creighton remains committed to self-examination and the on-going assessment of student learning, primarily through our four-year participation as an inaugural member of the Higher Learning Commission’s Academy for the Assessment of Student Learning (2006-2010).
We look forward to continuing our self-reflective study and working with you to build a better understanding of our university and what are our possibilities for building a Willed Future.
